Another great idea is to read your local weekly entertainment guide.  I am always amazed at all the FREE events planned over the weekends that I wouldn’t have known about if I didn’t read my local paper.  Even if you don’t live in a big city like Chicago, every community offers cheap or free events most weekends for everyone to enjoy. Last summer I was able to meet Bravo’s Top Chef’s and watch a cooking demo…for FREE!  Need I say more?

So be creative!  A great date doesn’t always have to be a nice dinner at a fancy restaurant. Explore your city, take someone out to your favorite dive restaurant, or just stay in and camp out on your couch with a scary movie and a big bowl of something sweet.
